A COOLUM man says a termite-infested tree outside his property is a ticking time bomb, after a neighbouring tree in the same condition snapped and nearly crushed his daughter's car. After noticing termite trails leading into his property two years ago, John Duggan's infestation fears were confirmed by an arborist who said the three trees on the council verge were riddled with the insects. Despite stressing his concerns with the council, offering to provide an inspection report and having council arborists inspect the trees, Mr Duggon said little was done to fix the problem.
