The annual Citywide Spring Cleanup is scheduled for April 22 to May 6. Items may be taken to C and D Landfill, U.S. 183 North by City of Frederick residents at no fee. For more information call Dana Greer at 580-335-7551.

Tillman County Trade Day and Downtown Market is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 6 near Cole Termite and Pest Control at 100 W. Grand Ave. and continuing down Grand Avenue to Ninth Street. A tamale contest is planned. For more information call Jay or Katherine Sharp at 580-335-7847.

An International Walk to School Day is scheduled for 7:30-7:45 a.m. May 9 in Frederick. Students from Prather Brown and Frederick Middle School are scheduled to walk with parents, teachers and community leaders from the community parking lot south of the Post Office at 120 E. A free 2017 Armed Forces Day Music Festival and Red Dirt Barbecue is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. May 20 at Elmer Thomas Park, 501 NW Ferris Ave. in Lawton. NanoExplorers: A High School Summer Science Academy is scheduled for June 4-9 and June 11-16 for students entering the 10th, 11th or 12th grades. This event is a 10-day residential academy where students will live at Cameron for the two-week period and is free to Oklahoma residents. Registration is limited to 24 students.
